Johnny was rescued by Idit, who also saved the lambs Snow, White and Shugy, inspired by the rescue tale of Tzili and Gili.
One day Idit went to buy some food for Ztili and Gili at the sheep dairy farm. There she saw a little month-old kid. A dairy farm has no use for male baby goats. They will never give milk and profit for the farm, and therefore are sold for slaughter. When Idit asked about the kid the farm owner told her that soon he will take the young one to be slaughtered too. Idit returned to her home but could find no peace of mind. Over and over the image of this little lonely kid came to her, again and again she remembered the innocence in his eyes.
Idit knew she had to save this kid.
A few days later Idit returned to the farm and urged the farmer to give her the kid. After much begging he finally agreed and Idit was allowed to take him home with her. Finally the baby goat was saved from his anonymity. Finally he was given a name – Johnnny.
Today Johnny is four years old, a big and beautiful goat. More than anything Johnny loves to stretch out his neck and be petted on the head, petting that he lovingly receives from Idit and his visitors.
