Hi, I’m Miri and this here is Gili, don’t we look like sisters? The truth is that we first met at Beit Dagan Hospital. I arrived at the hospital after I had been lying in a ditch with a broken leg for two months.
If it hadn’t been for the rains and vegetation in the area, I probably would not have survived to tell my story.
Gili was found by soldiers on the Egyptian border, bleeding profusely and without a front leg. She does not talk about it, but it seems that she was severely neglected and abused. When she arrived at the hospital, she was almost dead and she needed a lot of blood. Lucky I was there too, and I was able to donate blood directly and save her life.
Now you understand why we are inseparable. Because we are blood-sisters!
