We’re so happy to have you on board!

The staff and residents of the Freedom Farm thank you for your continued efforts and support! Thanks to your help and the help of others, we are able to increase our impact, save more animals and inform others of our important mission.

Now you have the opportunity to help us even more – all from the comfort of your home!

As you may know, the Freedom Farm’s ongoing activities are dependent on donations. The monthly operating costs of the Freedom Farm are about 200,000 NIS – and so every little bit helps! This monthly sum includes our day-to-day operations of feeding the animals, the purchase of hay and sawdust, field maintenance, medical treatments for the animals and the salaries of our staff members. This is before we take into account unforeseen events that lead to additional expenses, such as the arrival of a new survivor, unconventional medical treatments, the purchase of additional medical equipment, aid for the disabled animals on the farm and much more.

So what’s your part in this?

We believe that by personal contact with people which you are close to, such as family members, friends and your colleagues at work, and by sharing with them what we do and how much the farm is important to you, you will be able to persuade more people to support us as well!

What are we hoping for?

If 200 volunteers such as yourself, each recruits 20 people to donate a monthly amount of 50 NIS, that would be enough to cover a whole month of operating costs! In addition, The more people we reach and the more donations we raise, the more animals we are able to save!

So, how should you present the farm to others?

We suggest your start by explaining our history and what we do:

The Freedom Farm first opened its doors on October 5, 2016. Along with being a rescue and rehabilitation shelter for animal survivors of the food industry, the Freedom Farm is the first-of-its-kind social educational center that aims to bring humans and animals closer together, by in-depth acquaintance with animals that usually live in inhumane conditions.

The Freedom Farm enables an exciting encounter between humans and farm animals that have been rescued and rehabilitated and now live in a benevolent environment that provides them with all their physical and mental needs. Every animal on the farm is a world of its own, with its own name, personality, feelings, hobbies and a life story.

In addition to helping animals, we believe that by giving back to the people of the community, we aid in creating a better world to live in. The Freedom Farm has a number of non-profit activities that are aimed at achieving this, for example, the farm regularly invites people with special needs to come and interact with the farm animals in what is a therapeutic experience for both the animal and the visitor.

What does the farm mean to you?

After the “formal” explanation about the farm, it is important to tell others what the farm means to you. We suggest you share how you got to know about the farm and if you had the experience of visiting us, share with them how that visit made you feel and what impacted you most.

You may share an animal’s rescue story that speaks to you more than others, perhaps an animal you feel a special connection to or one that excites you in a special way, or a personal relationship you may have with a particular farm resident.

Whether you have visited the farm on a tour or come to volunteer, we are sure you have lovely stories about your interactions with the farm’s occupants!

If you’ve never been to the farm we invite you to sign up for a tour or come and volunteer for a day. In addition, our website and Facebook page have a lot of information about the farm’s residents and we encourage you to browse through them.

Here’s a short summary of the steps we mentioned before:

  1. Talk about the farm’s history and what we do.
  2. Share what the farm means to you. You can share an experience you had while visiting the farm or the rescue story of one of our residents.
  3. Explain what the donations will be put to use for (the day-to-day farm operating costs, unconventional medical treatments, the purchase of additional medical equipment, aid for the disabled animals and the rescue of more animals).
  4. Emphasize that every donation is significant, any help is welcome and any amount of money can make a difference!
  5. Did you get a positive answer? Does someone want to donate to the farm? Amazing! Please send the donation link and give a heartfelt thank you from the Freedom Farm staff and residents!

Finally, we would like to thank you once again for your interest in helping the farm. Together we march on the path towards a kinder, more compassionate world.
