Bono was saved by a youth group, whose goal is to save lives. They give us hope for the future!
While on an action in the North, members of the group asked a local sheep farmer if they could play with a baby lamb. They saw how loving, sweet and curious the lamb was, and when the time came to return the lamb to the owner, they realized that the lamb would soon be sent to slaughter.
The kids could not bear the thought of their adorable lamb ending up on someone’s plate. They begged the owner to spare his life, and, eventually were able to persuade the owner to give the lamb to them. They immediately contacted the Freedom Farm Sanctuary so that we could give their little Bono the life he deserves, free from harm.
When Bono first arrived, he was quite frightened and sought comfort by clinging to Gary and Eyal, who both received him with kindness and a lot of patience.
Today, Bono is enjoying his new home and the special friendships he has made.
